Default Mexico Deer Lease, Help.

I have just got on a deer lease that sounds like a hunt of a life time. It is about an hour south of DelRio. It is a 3500 acre lease that has not been hunted(as far as we know) before. It is out in the middle of no where with the nearest dwelling some 30 miles away. It is the only ranch within 50 miles that has working feeders on it. They have some spectacular deer on film. A 12 point typical that will go 28 inches wide and will go in the high 180's, a non-typical with 3 drop tines the smallest of which is around 9 inches that we are guessing in the mid 200's, several 8's with 12-15 inch G2's and it goes on and on. We jumped on it since there were only 6 spots.

I have not hunted this area. It is called a certain name that escapes me right know but maybe some one can shed some light. I was curious if anyone knew of the area and if the caliber of deer could actually exist in that area. Any input would be appreciated.

Congrats on the new lease, Lance! Just be very careful! Hunting in Mexico has gotten way too dangerous! Good luck to you this season!

Sounds like a sweet deal if you can avoid the dangers that Mexico has. Don't know anything about the hunting there but you should get a chance to get ya a monster. Good luck.

They do have some monsters in that area. Just stay in deer camp though, and be careful.
