$65.00 10 day hunt, cheep enough.
Anyone make the first scout day today? How bad are the mosquitos and water level this year?

Good deal for sure, I would think that the mosquitos would be down excep for the marsh mosquitos, which the high tides have really sturred up right now.

No, never have hunted there but have heard 100s of stories about it. I know about the mosquitos because I have lived on the coast all my life and we are having marsh mosquitos right now.

I have hunted at Aransas WLR since 1987 with the exception of two years. It provides alot of acres and oppertunities if a person is willing to adjust to the enviromental chalanges and critters. I missed last year. Headed there this Friday. Didnt make the scout this last weekend so I will have to sneak in the day before and set up Tripod.
Aransas can be so different in dry and wet times so I was wandering if anyone had scouted.
There is plenty of room for people and animals to hunt but I have seen a drop in attendance over the last 20 years.
