I know your a busy man. Didnt want to bother you with such petty questions!

So, do yall think the photo page would be worth lookin into? Just curious. I dont know how much work goes into building another page like that.

The magazine is a huge amount of work to get out. Roger has done and outstanding job of getting it together and out on time. We can not thank him enough.

In addition to that, it is by far the biggest expense as well. Each issue cost the club aroung 4,500.00 to publish and mail. I am not saying that is bad, I love the magazine and it is a big part of what we do...just trying to explain the reason for the number of issues per year.

As far as having a trophy pic page....lot's of magazines have those. I see no reason we could not if that is what the membership wanted. It is our magazine after all, to do with what we wish. We would need to get Roger a stock pile of pics to choose from to do it.

I agree. Roger and the rest of the LSBA staff do a great job with the organization AND the magazine. I have no problem with the number of issues. I know how much work goes into putting a magazine together. No complaints from me. Keep up the great work!

I would love to see a photo page! Lets make it happen!

Its been discussed having a page or two with photos. I don't get that many but maybe that would change once we got one going. I am thinking we could get someone to sponsor the pages. Call it the LSBA Trophy Room Sponsored by....

As long as you're not in them! We don't need some weak 110 scoring out of state deer killer!

The braggin pages were nice when we had them, but from what I heard from past editors, we could not get enough photos to fill the two pages that were there so they were taken out. I do not think that would be a problem anymore. Bob

This was a factor.

With the increase in activity here on the site in recent months, Roger could probably use pics from the galleries here...but then he'd be committing a couple (of the few) pages in each issue to material that's already published online. I think that Roger would agree that printing fresh material should take some priority...but shouldn't get in the way of sharing a good story with the computer challenged members.

Speaking as a member who does spend a little bit of time online, I'd like to see more members do like Chunky (and some others) do and 'sandbag' some of their good hunting stories/photos for the magazine...then publish them online after the mag comes out. I know it's hard to sit on trophy pics & a story and I do enjoy reading a story for the second time too. But I do seem to enjoy the publications with more 'fresh meat' in them a little more...they seem a little more special.

Speaking as a bowhunter, I'd like to see me kill something worthy of an article again sometime this year.
