Default A Little Ole Skool

Finished this set of arrows yesterday. They are going to be raffled off up at OJAM (Oklahoma Selfbow Jamboree) this coming Saturday. Might have to build myself a set of them.....

Man, those are sharp! (I saw your comment at BHTA about cutting your finger sharpening them) Also, saw your comment on using waxed thread to lash the arrowheads on (I use a lot of waxed thread in leatherwork). What is that glossy covering over the thread?

Man all your stuff looks so good I would hate to shoot any of them. Do you ever make any plain ones for those who don't shoot so well and will not feel so bad when shanking something?

Derek made me a dozen beauties a while back....they were so good I told him I was "saving them for nice". I finally broke down and started practicing with three of them and they definitely improved my accuracy...mainly because of their quality but also because I didn't want to mess them up so I made better shots. Just got a new set of the "Ironwoods" .....same thing with them. They will make you a better shooter.

Actually I do an even split between wood and carbon arrows. As far as bringing some to the banquet we will see. I might be able to put together a few dozen of various spines. Anything specific you are looking for?

Well the Oklahoma Selfbow Society was well pleased as this set of arrows drew in $375.00 from the raffle. Oh and the winner was very happy. He said something about having a glass case built for them......rats I was hoping to see some blood on them one day.

BTW when I get the pictures and videos off the cameas I'll post some up. It was a blast the whole 4 days. We need something like this in Texas for sure.
