Looks like it could have been a lot of fun.

Looks like you had some good weather up there....it can be brutal north of the Red River in March! That's a spiffy looking hip quiver! Did you part with many of your arrows?

Brad, OJAM is the Oklahoma Selfbow Jamboree.

Bob, it was tons of fun.

Ray, on the weather we had 4 seasons in 4 days. Anything from the 30s to the high 80s and a lot of wind off and on. I did alright in the arrow department, but learned a few things. The one thing that turned into a huge hit was having kids come and build their own arrow. Wish I had taken at least twice the supplies for kids arrows as I had a lot of sad faces once the shafts ran out. The new quiver is awesome and I got it from some horse trading with arrows. The guy that made it is new in the business but did a really good job.

It was a blast helping the kids build an arrow. They went from a raw shaft and full length feathers to a complete arrow. Chopping the feathers was one of the biggest hits of the whole process.

I can bring some materials to the banquet and offer it to the kids. It was really an after thought for OJAM and I wasn't really prepared well so the cost was $8.00 an arrow. I think I can get that down to about $5.00 an arrow. I'm going to also want to have the shafts pre-cut to various kids lengths and already tapered. That was some of the most time consuming part of the whole process. My wife shot a lot of video of the kids so I'll put together some clips and post them later.
