Default Lock your trucks

Lock your trucks

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As most of you are aware I had my truck stolen on opening day of dove season. I have always been guilty of leaving my keys in my truck and unlocked at all times. Not ever again. A few of you have seen my truck and or rode in it as I moved piles and shoved stuff under the seats or searched in the bed till I found what I was looking for. No padding my list of stuff I had a little over 8000.00 worth of stuff in my truck. From stainless mig wire for my traps to a tpost driver. All my stuff wasnt old and I dont know what insurance will pay yet but please dont be stubborn like me and leave your keys in the truck. Upon watching the video again from the store it only took 25 seconds. I got a new chevrolet truck this week and am feeling better but the loss and anger and honestly the humilliation is still here. I thought oh I live in Quinlan..aint nobody gonna jack with me. I was wrong. Now I wil say everyonein my town knows ands has called and asked and so on and it makes me feel stupid all over again. I want to say thanks to a few people who have helped and offered me stuff. I never in my life have had to beg or take charity till now. BUT in bold keep things that you really dont need out of your truck and lock it . I am scared to put things on my new truck as it almost makes me feel like I am sending an invite.. Texasbowhunter ,wildboarusa ,texasboars , LSBA stickers were all on my back glass. I will most likely be putting them back on but I actually have felt raped and violated. I again truly and deeply appreciate all the prayers and support that I have recived. Thanks to all

I know how you fill Tim, I had my truck stole one time. Before you know it that new truck will be loaded just like the old one.

Tim was there any problem with the insurance company paying, because it was unlocked and the keys were in it?
Just wondering.

Glad you got a new truck!

I am sorry for your loss and know how you feel.

There is a good chance they would have taken it, even if it had been locked, so don't beat yourself up over it. It is not your fault.

I hope the thief gets what he deserves.

Good, glad to hear it.
I've heard people say that ins wont pay if you left your keys in it. But this was just people talking, not really people who are insurance agents or anything.

Sorry to hear about this. My Son had his truck stolen from the Bass Pro shop in Dallas. Makes you sick and angry. You should post a photo so everyone can be on the look out. You never know.
