Default New guy here

Hello. My name is Wade Woody. I am still a rookie bowhunter but I am so in love with the sport. I was blanked last year (my first season to bowhunt) but I am hopeful for this season. I hope I can learn from the men and women on this board.

Welcome Woody Wood, great site be on. Welcome to the world of bowhunting. There will be times that you may not kill anything, and then there are times that you kill everything that walks by. I went a short while without drawing blood this past couple of seasons. Was wondering if I have started to become a peta card carrier, but after I drew blood again, that all changed. The animals just kept a falling. Now I will have to see how this year goes. Bob

Great to have you at the LSBA Campfire. Welcome. Keep flinging those arrow at the practice target and the bloodtrails will soon follow. I went a good long while back in the beginning, but I did not have the help of websites like this to address questions, it was all trial and error. Heavy on the ERROR. Good Luck on your trip to the field this season.

Welcome Wade. It took me until the third year before I connected! Of course back then I did'nt have websites to draw from only magazines. Ask questions.

Welcome WOODY.......I too, was denied last season. I got discouraged and put my bow away for awhile, but I brought it back out and made my mind up to not give up. Rebuilt bow, new sticks and broadheads....I'm ready. This year will be different. Hang in there....the worm will turn. Good luck and be careful out there. Looking forward to the pictures.

Thanks everyone. Yeah last year was different. The deer weren't coming to the feeders. (the dang sheep wouldn't leave very much there anyways) I saw several decent bucks but they were either too young or further than I feel comfortable shooting. I am hoping this year will change the way the deer move on our place. Thanks again and I will keep in touch.

Welcome Woody. Took me two years and I won't tell you how many misses. They will come. My best advice is to have a designated target broadhead that you shoot into styrofoam or a broadhead target. I say that because my broadheads have always flown to a different spot than my field points. The difference was about 5 inches at 20 yards and is more than enough to make for a miss. Try it and the best of luck to you.
