Default Buck down in what I call big boy alley

Ok I will start with the story. I climbed into my tree stand at 3:45 Saturday afternoon. My feeder in that area went off at 4:45 and it was only about 5 minutes and I had 2 doe feeding under the feeder. 5 minutes later 2 more doe came walking in and Im thinkin this is gonna be a good hunt. I heard something crash brush behind me but couldnt tell what it was. The does got spooked and slipped off straight away from me into the creek. It wasnt 30 seconds after the last doe disappeared that I heard something coming from behind me. I had to look straight down to see the buck for the first time since he rubbed is side on the tree I was sittin in. He eased in behind a cedar tree and I picked up my bow and came to full draw. The buck walked out from behind the tree and stopped quartering away at 18 yards. I put my 20 yard pin on the spot I would have aimed at if I was sitting on the ground because I was 25 feet up in the air I knew I would have to hit a little high due to the angle. I squeezed the release trigger and saw the arrow smack him exactly where I wanted it to. He took of on a dead run in the direction the does had gone. I sat in my stand for 45 minutes waiting and listening for a crash but never heard anything. I got down and went to the last place I had seem him and sure enough there was some pinkish bubbly blood. I followed the blood for about 30 yards but it got so dark I couldnt even find the blood I had been trailing so I backed out and waited til Sunday morning to find him. I started looking at 7:45 Sunday morning and 30 yards and 5 minutes later I had my hands on my buck.
