Default Jadyn's first deer hunt (pics)...

Hey old man, let's rock n' roll this thang!

View from the stand to the feeder...

up...

4-standviewup.jpg

Purdy bow...

5-bowholder.jpg

I was really surprised at how silently she sat, hoping to see a deer...

6-camo&eyes.jpg

After an hour or so she laid down on the seat, put her head in my lap and latched on to my thumb...

7-thumb.jpg

I knew that she wasn't gonna be awake very long...

8-napster.jpg

But, she didn't nap for very long either...

Tell me some campfire stories...

10-campfire.jpg

This bowhunting stuff really takes a lot out of a girl...

11-tiredeyes.jpg

Note to self: Little girls like to have a hair brush in deer camp...

12-bedhead.jpg

Let's roll home...

13-letsgohome.jpg

This was mainly a trip to fill my feeders but it made for an excellent opportunity to get this kid in the stand with me and see how she'd act. She did great. We did have a few tree rats come in but no deer or hogs...but it sure wasn't her fault. She was quiet, still and alertly looking around for game...when she was awake.

We did get to see a few deer moving around late this morning from the 4whlr while toting corn.

It was a great chance to teach her a little about camping & treestand sitting...but most importantly, we had a blast together!

Great job Joey,

Please tell her Kelby and I said hi. We thought of her when we were putting together Kelby's videos. Kelby wanted to put some Hanna Montana music to the video to make it more appealing to young hunters like Jadyn....instead of my normal rock. Good thing I still have the final say....LOL.

Hanna Montana is so yesterday...she's into Miley Cyrus and Metallica now.

The Metallica may be my fault.

I will pass it on, Mark. I can't wait to show her Kelby's TNT video.

I think the girls do better than the boys do. Great hunting partners for sure.

Caity's been riding me hard to take her out this year. I'm hoping to get some video when we do.

Good job Jayden. Keep up the good work!
