Songs that haunt you.....

Surely you have heard songs that stuck with you....lingered in your mind, even haunted you. Recently Bob posted a thread with a link to the Radney Foster song "Angel Flight" http://www.lonestarbowhunter.com/for...ead.php?t=3038 which has been such a song for me.

Another that has haunted me lately is the old Wynn Stewart country song, "Another Day, Another Dollar" that has made a resurgence due to a popular TV ad.

And here is the weird one. A while back I was watching Huckaby's show on FoxNews and he had a guest who called himself Meat Loaf. I had never heard of him but my wife had. He performed a "song" that has haunted me ever since....

Strange what you can drag up late on a Saturday night when it's way past your bedtime.

Anybody else have songs that have been haunting them?

My problem is the songs that get caught in my mind aren't always songs I like. Like the new one from Tim McGraw, "Felt good on my Lips". I don't hate the song but it is far from one of my favorites, yet it still gets caught in my mind all the time.

I know what you mean. When I first heard that Meat Loaf song I thought it was disgusting. Not anywhere near what I consider good music. For some reason it stuck with me so I did a search and found it, read the bio on the guy then found it on iTunes and loaded it on my iPhone. I got some strange looks Christmas when my kids were here and I whipped it on them.

Here's another one.....I can't stand Elton John. He put out a song long ago that got my attention....it haunted me. I didn't know who sang it or even the title but I remembered some of the lyrics. I did an extensive search and found it! (The only reason I ever heard it in the first place was it was a hit when the kids were young) .......
(pretty sad for a country music lover lol)

AC/DC Highway to Hell!! Used to live by this song but God and Jesus Christ intervened. Now when I listen to it (still like the riff) I turn down the part that says highway to hell and put in highway to Heaven.
