There is no camping on the Hagerman, but we found a cheap motel in Sherman. It only took us fifteen minutes to get to the refuge. Watch Hagerman's website on when they will be accepting postcards. I think I mailed mine in last May and I got a letter in June.
Get that post card to them and play the waiting game.
