Nancy, I am no expert on traditionial by no means, but I think you can find a real nice long bow that is not real expensive to start with. You may also want to watch for used longbows that were built by some of our bowyers if you do not want to spend a lot right from the start. I believe Bob Lee had some bows that were discountinued that he was offering discounts. I hear a lot of good things about Sarrels longbows also. I am sure you will get some better advise from some of our traditionial shooters. Bob
