Default BAO 8 Point

I slipped into my double bull long before day light this morning. The moon was bright enough I didn't even need a light walking in. About 30 minutes before day light I had 6 does come in and begin feeding. It was a perfect morning as a front was blowing in, with 15 to 20 mile an hour winds. Around 8:00 am a nice management 8 point came rolling in like he owned the place. I was following him with the video camera when he settled down about 18 yards away. I was watching him quarter away when my bow arm came up like it had a mind of it's own. I felt the 74# BW bow come to full draw, I was in full auto pilot and it surprised me when the string slipped away. The 1-7/8 German Kinetic head slammed into the buck with a solid thump. He made a couple of big jumps and crashed to the ground. Regaining his feet I watched him blast through the brush. After waiting a half hour I took up a solid blood trail. We had a ton of rain this spring and the broom weed is higher and thicker than I have ever seen it. There was just no way to see the ground. I walked a zig zag pattern in the waist high weed for an hour or so "he just had to be laying close". I finally gave up and cut cross country to my truck. I had used a Bowbug and was mighty proud that I had. As I was driving back to the blind I rounded a curve and Shazam. My buck was laying in the road. I had stomped thru every brush pile within a hundred yards of my blind. I never thought to look in the road.
