Samick Sage backyard tune-up

[Target-panic]

Broke out of the Man Cave and did a little shooting this weekend. Thought I would share my experience.

PreTune-up

I took the new Samick Sage out of the box. strung it up for the first time, added nock point, set the starting brace height. Unstrung it. Drove to Stick'um's (T. Bolting) house.

Tune-up

Stick'um checked my pretune-up work, we grabbed a bunch of arrows and headed to the backyard range. It only took a couple of shots to know we need to adjust the nock point a bit and decide that the Easton 500's/200 gr points were the best for now.

Started about 8-10 yards and was pretty satisfied with my 1' and smaller groups, moved back to 10 -15 yards and had the same type of grouping.

MidTune-up aiming fluid break (kept it to 2)

Started at 15-20 and was starting to tighten up in my forearms and my groups were spreading out. I only missed the 4'x4' target once and it really wasn't a missing as I caught the bale by a few blades of grass with one arrow. Pushed thru the stiffness and brought it right back to the 1' and smaller groups, with the every now and again flyer. The fingers were getting pretty sore, but after a couple of hours were not so tender.

Post Tune-up summary

I am very pleased with my purchase and ease of the initial set-up and my performance out of the gate. We will see if I can remain consistant and steadily improve.
