Default Jadyn's first deer hunt (pics)...

Hey old man, let's rock n' roll this thang!

Purdy bow...

I was really surprised at how silently she sat, hoping to see a deer...

After an hour or so she laid down on the seat, put her head in my lap and latched on to my thumb...

I knew that she wasn't gonna be awake very long...

But, she didn't nap for very long either...

Tell me some campfire stories...

This bowhunting stuff really takes a lot out of a girl...

Note to self: Little girls like to have a hair brush in deer camp...

Let's roll home...

This was mainly a trip to fill my feeders but it made for an excellent opportunity to get this kid in the stand with me and see how she'd act. She did great. We did have a few tree rats come in but no deer or hogs...but it sure wasn't her fault. She was quiet, still and alertly looking around for game...when she was awake.

We did get to see a few deer moving around late this morning from the 4whlr while toting corn.

It was a great chance to teach her a little about camping & treestand sitting...but most importantly, we had a blast together!

This thread not sanctioned by any TPWD youth program...just a Dad.
