I had the good fortune to win a video contest on Hunting footage .com The prize was a 5 day Turkey hunt in Ohio with Cole outdoor productions. I have often advised folks to not put off an out of state hunt because they couldn’t find a friend to go with. You always end up making some new ones once you get there. This trip was no exception. I had a BLAST. The Turkeys didn’t cooperate but I enjoyed my week hanging out the Cole crew. It is made up of a ½ dozen 24ish year olds that are hard core hunters. The main man is Pro Bowl defensive end Trent Cole. I didn’t really know what to expect but he turned out to be a good ol country boy that is eat up with the hunting bug. He is one of those guys who can smile at you and you just have to laugh. Spending a week with these young men reminded me of when my sons were teenagers and the laughter was pretty much none stop. They had one grown up named Chris and I learned more about my camera in one day of hunting with him than I had in the year I have owned it. Don’t take me wrong here when I say these young men are having fun, They are also very professional and I really look forward to them releasing their first DVD. These men are really on the fast track to having their own TV show. They traded off filming me and Matt, Kyle and Richie as well as Trent himself are welcome in my camp anytime they want to travel down here.
