Default New Bow

Finally got my new bow going. TecHunter Extreme from Gander Mountain. WOW ! What a big difference from my Parker Stealth hunter ! I got it in a kit, but changed the rest to the Trophy Taker. Got it close to sighted in. Still trying to be sure of my anchor point. having limited feeling in my cheek makes it difficult, but man, what a blast shooting this bow !! Can't wait for the season. I have been sort of planning to just hunt with a bow this whole season. We'll see.

Congrats on the new bow. Isn't that made by Diamond (Bowtech)?

So after all the hunter ed students left yesterday from the archery range, I hung around to shoot my bow. With the Whitetail arrows and 100 gr practice points, it shot 233 fps. Good enough for me for now, though I did drop down to 75 gr. later.

The best was when the owner of the range, Paul, who sells many brands of bows, made a comment on the quietness of my bow. A few others in there also said it. That boosted me some on the new setup. I really am liking this bow.

Also, I am trying a slight helical on my fletching. I can really notice the extra spin, but it seems to deaden the arrow some. Anyone have comments on that, please add.
