Default trditional troubles

i have been shooting my longbow as well as my recurve i get the most wicked case of tendonitis in my right forearm i am right handed after shooting what am i doing wrong or what can i take to alleviate the symptom.i shoot split finger.1 over 2 under.i really want to go to this but cant seem to get past the pain it is best described as debilitating for 4 or 5 days. 50 # recurve 64 # long

I wish I had some good advice for you. When I have had issue it was with my bow arm..or my shooting shoulder.

If it is hurting you that much, you need to change something.

You might try to do more pulling with your back muscles and less with your arm. You may be putting your right arm in a bad position...is your elbow back or out to the side?

Maybe changing your anchor point....I don't know.

If you want, I can watch you shoot at the shoot later this month and see if I can see anything...not that I am an expert or anything, but willing to try.

Are you wearing a glove or using a tab? Switch between the two and compare.

Make sure you use equal push and pull when drawing your bow. Also, that's a big jump in weight between bows.

You could also amputate your arm just below the elbow and install a hook or a caliper or something.
