Personal Best Buck: 155" 6x6
I was blessed to take my best buck ever on the Friday after Thanksgiving, a typical 6x6! I unofficially measured him with a gross score of 155 4/8" and a net of 151 0/8." Finally achieved my goal of taking a buck that will make the Pope & Young record book!
I harvested him on my family's ranch in San Saba County......we've owned it since 1988, and depending on his official score this buck will rank as either #1 or #2 all-time for our ranch. Our place is low-fence, and we do not do supplemental feeding, but we have been managing for quality deer since the beginning. We have participated in MLDP since 1999 and are active in a great Wildlife Mgmt Assocation in our area. Its very rewarding to see it all pay off in producing a deer like this!
