Shawn, I think you can arrive anytime that first day of the hunt. There is normally a orientation that takes place, drawing of areas to hunt and then some great fellowship by everyone. In the past Ric Rosser normally came out and cooked outstanding meals for the hunt, but have not heard if this is happening again this year or not. Some items to consider would be
Snake Boots
Pop Up Blind, but brush in very well if used
Some extra corn, but don't over do it when you put it out, the deer seem to walk around a heavy corned area.
Plenty of water, in case it is normal South Texas weather
Stools to sit on
Chairs for sitting around the campfire.
