Very sad.

I only met the man a couple of times at LSBA banquets but he was a true Texas gentleman. I'm proud to visited with him a few times on the phone and to have handed him a "Legacy Member" plaque to celebrate his dedication and work in the early days of the LSBA. I talked to several of the "Legacy Members" that year and nearly everyone of them would mention John's name as having been critical to the success of the LSBA during those first years.

Roger has had the pleasure of running some of Mr. Culpepper's articles recently accounting some of his bowhunting adventures for mountain lion and bear...think I'll go back and re-read them tomorrow.

RIP, Mr. Culpepper.
