Great story! My father did the same thing to me with my first deer rifle. He had me help him mount the scope and then 2 weeks later he gave it to me for Christmas. I really like the snake skin on the recurve. I have several snakes in the freezer that need to be put on a recurve, they are doing no good in the freezer.
