Thanks LSBA! That photo is my oldest son Clint (now a senior at Texas A&M), and a pronghorn he was fortunate to bag in 2011 on our DIY hunt on public land in southeast Colorado. That was our first time to hunt pronghorn, and Clint got his buck on the second day of our hunt. We primarily hunted from popup blinds overlooking waterholes. His buck made the Pope & Young book with a score of 69 6/8"!

We had quite an adventure on our hunt: camping on the prairie, enduring searing August heat, and dealing with a severe thunderstorm that hit while we were skinning the pronghorn and subsequently wrecked our camp. The mud was so bad after the storm, even with 4WD we could not get to town for desparately-needed ice for the meat. Fortunately we had just enough to keep it from spoiling till we could get out the next day. Fun stuff, and lots of memories!
