I must agree urbanization has nothing to do with it theres plenty of wide open spaces here in texas. I know 2 avid deer hunter who have given the sport within the last 3 years up because its just too expensive, and difficult to find a quality lease, and public land is overcrowded. Trust me from what I've seen last year on public land there is no shortage of new bowhunters. But there is a shortage of bowhunters stupid enough to pay the ridiculous lease fees these days.
