I was real pleased that I was able to call the fox in. I was walking the half mile to my stand when I jumped it. I saw it running away through the brush so I froze and started squeaking with my lips. Hard to do when your mouth goes dry. I'm telling you, I shoulda never hunted with Buff, now I grow fangs or something everytime I see fur. Anyway, I managed to squeak a few times and he stopped. Then he put the sneak on me. At 15 feet I shot and my arrow stuck underneath him. He jumped and ran with his tail stuck up straight in the air. So, I squeaked again. HE CAME BACK eyeballing the fletching on the arrow. He turned and ran off a few yards under a Juniper/"cedar". He did this about 3 times so I nocked another arrow and when I saw him through a gap in the Juniper, I took the shot. Foxes do NOT stop arrows! He ran off 15 yards, rolled a few times, groaned and went still.

I saw zero deer that day.
