Well, we had a great weekend, but never shot an arrow at an animal. The company and being out on the ranch was nice. Bryan was a great host as always. We had perfect weather.I could have/should have shot a beautiful fallow doe that gave me a shot in the first 30 mins I was there....I did not shoot because that would have ended my hunt for the evening. It was to hot to let an animal lay and keep hunting. So I passed hoping for the big axis.I was a red deer magnet. I had red around me from the time I got out of the polaris until I got picked up each day. I also had trophy blackbuck begging to be shot each hunt, but we couldn't shoot those on this trip.I saw a really nice axis and a handful of good ones, but only got with in about 60 to 70 yards. Still it is always nice to see animals.I regret not getting to the SA TTHA show, but would have had to give up the last hunt to do it the way things are set up. If I would have come out early, I would have went right by Buff.Buff let a marginal axis walk, I know I know, where was auto pilot? Well Buff is making progress. I have been working on him for some time now and while he has always been a very efficient killer, he is turning into a hunter. I was very proud of him (wipes tear). Thanks to Buggscuffle for all their support of LSBA. I recommend a hunt here. Very enjoyable and scenic.
