Can you feel it?
 

There is something in the air and it has me feeling very excited. With only 5 days until the opener I'm ready to go and finding it very hard to think about anything else. I should have just taken this week off from work also as I'm not going to get much done around here while I'm day dreaming about sitting in my stand and waiting for ole bucky buck to show himself.

Good luck everyone, only a few more days.............and they seem to be getting longer and longer.

I don't seem to get excited about it anymore. I think its because of where I'm located though. Hunting around my folks place still gives me that feeling. ;)

I got up and went outside this morning at 5 am,it felt great rubbing my antlers on that tree.....:)

I am taking off half a day on Friday and leaving outta here as soon as possible for the 5 hour drive down south. Cant wait!!!

I think we are leaving Thursday to beat the rush;).

I'm ready!

I'll be leaving early Friday morning mainly because I have to get 8 tons of rocks moved and the easement fixed before my wife arrives later that day. We'll be up there the whole first week but I have a lot of work to do along side of a lot of hunting. Some time the last part of the week our portable cabin will be deliveried so I have to make sure they can get in and get the cabin where we want it. The work won't stop there as I will be finishing the cabin inside the rest of this fall and winter but it is good work and I'll have my wife by my side helping so all is good. Still can't wait to see the sun rise while sitting in my stand, that is a special moment each year.

Yeah, I feel the pressure of last minute finally finding a babysitter then having to get everything cleaned and packed.

MAN, this is going to be a long week! :(


I AM SO EXCITED THOUGH! This will be my first time to hunt opening weekend! :D

I've decided that i'm headed out too the ranch today...See yall laterz!
