Define Target Panic, Remedy

Well, not sure if I have a case of target panic or not. All I know is that I shoot better by myself when no one is watching.

So, what exactly IS target panic. How do you know that's what's messing you up? And, how do you fix it?

don't know the answer, but I shoot the dart and other simulation systems like an expert but 5 spot targets have to be the size of a house. I think it is concentration.

Don't worry we wont laugh much

target panic

I have to agree with Losthawg. I, too, shoot better with no one around. I also shoot game better than targets. I hate to say that because you know what will happen next.

Hey brother.....here are a few websites I found with info related to the subject. I know myself I've experienced it a few times..from me it was a feeling of anxiety to hurry up and get the shot off as soon as possible. When it happened to me I would just back off and take a few deep breaths and concentrate on relaxing. The main thing I would think of was draw smooth, anchor, anchor, anchor, pick a spot and a relaxed release.

Naw, it's just curious to me that I can put them in the boiler room 9 out of 10 times from ranges up to 20 yards at the house, then I go to a 3D and put them in the neck, the kidneys, legs, trees, rocks...

Not sure if I'm just overthinking my shot or just out of quality practice. I'm suspecting it's the quality practice thing, cause two years ago I was at the range almost every weekend shooting the 3Ds and backyard almost everyday shooting the block. Lately I've managed to only get 2 to 3 days a week in without the trips to the range. Well, that'll all change this week as Wednesday we have our closing and I plan to be all moved in by the end of the weekend. Then serious quality practice time.

Thanks for the links Mike. You going to be at the Fellowship hunt?
