A Message From the President
 

Since the November TPW Commissioners meeting I have been reading the posts on this and other sites as well as talking with members and non-members alike. Needless to say it is a spirited debate. Like all political events I'm not sure that anyone is completely right or wrong. The one thing I have learned is we have some passionate folks on both sides of the issue and I'm pleased with that. Believe it or not it is healthy for an organization. It would be a very boring life if everyone agreed with me all the time. I accepted the nomination and election as the President of the LSBA. My task is to Preserve and Promote BOWHUNTING in this Great State of Texas. I intend to do that to the best of my ability. Does that mean I will please all of the bowhunters or even all of our members all the time? No, it simply means I will do the best job I can. Members will be receiving ballots in the mail soon and I encourage you to vote for those who you feel will best represent your values. Write-ins are allowed and encouraged.

With that said I would like to take this opportunity to ask that each of you take the time tomorrow and remember to give Thanks for the fact that we can disagree with each other and still share a fire. Spend time with family and friends. Take a kid hunting and make new and wonderful memories and most of all stay safe. Remember those who are serving our country abroad and there families. We will have plenty of time to carry on the debate. For now I wish you all a happy and safe Thanksgiving.
