Oldtimers please read...
 

I am looking for anyone who might remember a George Montry from Denison, TX. He was a competitive shooter and bowhunter and made a run at a "State Championship" one year in the late 70s early 80s (maybe LSBA, TSLC or TFAA???).

His sister (my BIL's mother) saw Liam's cover shot and was wondering if Mr Montry might have been an LSBA member back then...she thinks that it's pretty cool that Liam is connected to that part of her brother's life since George passed about 20 years ago.

Anyhow, I thought I'd post this up here and see if his name rings a bell for anyone who was around back then...

Hey, I've been in Colorado for 9 days. Just got back. Sorry, but can't help you. I joined LSBA in or around 1991.

I use to shoot a lot of 3D in North East Texas in the early 80's and a few LSBA State Shoots but I cannot say for sure that I recall Mr. Montry. Do you know Nathan T. who lives in Kilgore Texas? Nathan or his wife could most likely tell you. If you do not know Nathan send me a PM and I will give you more information.
