Acorns - a plan in theory
 

I went to check trail cams a bit ago after the main rain and wind came in and there are a bunch of new acorns on the ground. I've heard mention of no more in the trees but folks better double check that.

Here's how I see it now. We get the rest of them on the ground. The wind blows leaves on top of them to hold the moisture in on them and in a couple of weeks those that haven't been eaten are rotten. Sounds good to me.

I filled a 50# bag full of acorns on Saturday. My hope is that the ones on the ground are rotten by Nov 1st when I head out for a long weekend of hunting. I'll spread the ones I have on the ground around my tree stand to see if I can get a deer or two to come in for some good ones.

I hope so..need them hogs to start needing my corn again
