Flu-Flu

Well here is my first try at a Flu-Flu and I made some mistakes and learned some lessons. Will try again tomorrow when I have more time and I know it will be better.

Interesting!!

This design will not fly more than 40 yards which for wing shooting is far better than your basic Flu-Flu arrow. I can do them the other way if that is what you are looking for though.

I have seen that design before and they fly great. The ones we bad were pink and blue feathers and they were purdy.

I can do them with different color feathers and even do some cresting work if someone wants purdy. I only had a few full length feathers, but can order more. Trueflight feathers have some really pretty bright barred feathers that would make these really nice.

Well I've been shooting a couple and the glue I normally use just don't hold up with these. They do fly pretty good and there is no way you can make them fly more than 35-40 yards. Now if I get the glue problem fixed so they are prudy I'll post some pictures and let you know how much they will cost.

Neato torpedo! Very nice work!

I am still waiting on my other arrows you were going to make me...LOL.

I am going to need some flu-flu's for this pheasant thing we got coming up the first weekend in Feb. Can I get in line to order first????

Looks good. What was the glue you used on what kind of arrow? Is that some kind of vinyl sleeve? I was going to glue the feather to a carbon shaft using Fletchtite. I don't want to repeat your mistake if that's what you did...I'll try and get some done this week and post up a picture.

Are you making any with carbon arrows?

Mark I haven't forgot about you. The shafts I wanted to make your arrows out of haven't been released yet. I really want you to shoot these new shafts, your opinion really counts a lot to me.

They will all be carbons. I'm looking at using Easton Powerflight shafts and Trueflight Brightcolor feathers. I'm still not 100% pleased with what I'm doing to sale any yet. I have them looking pretty good, but the tail end wants to raise off the shaft, the glue I'm using doesn't want to hold it down. I'm trying a few things to fix that problem. I'll post a picture of one in a little while.

Here is the best one so far. Don't mind all the confusing mismatched colors, the colors will be matching on any production arrows. I've shot this one many, many times out of my longbow (48# @ 28") and it has held up well. I used hot glue on the ends and it works but not pretty and I want works and pretty. It hits hard out to 15 yards then starts to die and will not fly further than 35 yards no matter what I do.

Ok I'll buy!!
