A Special Thanks

I almost added this to the other thread...but feel so strongly that I wanted to make a seperate one.

I was overwhelmed with the money stuff at the banquet. From the time I got my computer plugged in, about 2 hours before it was suppose to start...until we walked out at the very end, it was non-stop busy. I had no idea there would be that much activity and stuff to do. We did good, but will do better next year.

I had help from several people, my daughter Kelby, Buff let me go for an hour to take a shower, Dena when she had a second, and a couple of others, BUT......

Bobby Kana, was with me the whole time! I could not have done it with out him. It would have been a disaster with long lines and people giving up and walking away without his help. I can not say THANK YOU loudly enough.

After the shoot last weekend I stopped by their place for a couple of hours and on the way home I thought...the more I am around Bobby the more I like him...that is one good guy.

I have money to count.... thanks BOBSTER!

Mark, you and Bobby did a FANTASTIC job! Things were non-stop busy, but y'all did a wonderful job keeping up! Both of you are extremely organized and detail oriented. I appreciate y'all's dedication to the front table at this event.

On a side note, I bet Buff is gonna be jealous! :D

Great job you two, ya'll had it going on.

JEALOUS I can see him now :madpc: :beating: :spank: :D:D:D:D

I have to agree. Mark and Bobby did a great job. Dealing with all the money is a GOOD problem for us to have. It is unfortunate that they weren't able to visit like they wanted. I think we learned a lot of lessons to do things a little differently next year and make it an even bigger success. We will need more volunteers to help on all of the committees. Be thinking of where you want to help.

Thanks again Mark and Bobby.

I agree with all that have said it.... Bobby and Mark ya'll did a WONDERFUL job on things.

To everyone else, Thanks for all the help.

I've been to several banquets and this was by far the best organized one yet. Mark did a fantastic job keeping up with finances along with assistance from Bob, Buff, and Kelby.

You guys are welcome. I did feel useful and never got bored...that is for sure :)

Probably save me a bunch of money because I couldn't get around and visit the vendors.

Brandon, I will get a check to you by the end of the week. The place looked great. When you brought me the reciept I thought it was an invoice to a company. I didn't know you were out of pocket.

Next year will be even better.

BOBSTER 06-09-2008 09:29 PM

Mark, I thank you so much for the kind words as well as the others that have posted. You, Kelby, and Erica helped out just as much. A big Thanks for Buff for taking over so that we could go and clean up before the banquet. Brandon and Erica did an outstanding job on the decorations for the banquet. The place looked great. Dena ran around making sure everyone was where they were suppose to be and that everyone was doing what they were suppose to do. Jack and David were working out in the hot:hot:outdoors witht the kids at the archery booth. I know that I am missing many more, but Thanks to everyone. Now my biggest problem with this is that I will have to be looking over my shoulder everythime that I am around BUFF:confused:. I know how Mark and BUFF are, and I would never want to get into the way of that. I also have to agree with Mark that next year will be even better. Bob

We know how much you like to spend money! I'm just glad you brought my husband to the hotel in time to take a shower! ;) Sorry, Buff! :fencing:This whole man love thing has left me puzzled!

Erica and Brandon did a fantastic job on the decorations!! Jack, David and Heather were outside with the kids' youth archery shoot and I truly appreciate your dedication!!! It was hot!:hot: With the Expo and the youth events this year, volunteers were very much needed and I truly appreciated those that stepped up to the plate!

I'm open to ideas for next year's Banquet! Just let me know!

A BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE that participated!!!

Mark,

No problem...I didn't want to bother you since you had so many irons in the fire.

I have over 200 pics that I will get to Dena and Roger in the next couple days, so we should have plenty for the website and magazine.

Brandon, you can upload some pics in the Gallery under "LSBA Expo 2008". I have a link to that on the homepage of the website.

What size pics tend to look the best when posted? I will get on it here shortly and hopefully have them up by tonight.

How much money was raised?

Ronny 06-10-2008 05:53 PM

I think Mark is still counting

Chunky 06-10-2008 06:27 PM

I made two deposits today, and will make more tomorrow. I won't have totals for a week or so.

We still have some outstanding items..like paying for the mule, a couple of checks to come in for purchases, and things like that.

I will try and post up some news tomorrow.

Mark
