Bison Hunt.......????????

Well I've had this wild hair for a while now to go on a Bison hunt and wondered if any of you folks have ever hunted one and can give me any useful information or recommendations.

Thanks

If you want to stay in Texas and do it on an exotic place I can tell you this. Kelby shot her's at Bar E and we had a great time doing it. I hear (but have not been there) that Sweetwater has a nice heard as well.

If you are looking to go out of state, I have no suggestions, but would be interested in what you find out.

Mark I was looking to stay close to home and had looked at Sweetwater and it looks like a pretty good deal. I'll check out Bar E also thanks for the tip. Now to deside on using my longbow or wuss out and go with the compound.....

I know Keith Johns has a few right now. They are located just south of San Antonio.

Double Arrow has them listed on the website, just dont know if he has any right now. You could send him a PM and ask him. His screen name is Curtis.

Those are the two that I would look at, or I should say the only two I have heard about other than Bar E.

Unless they are new, Curtis doesn't have any. At least not the times I have been there. Double Arrow is a fun place to hunt and he has some nice animals...I just don't think he has bison at this time. He may know a place, he has a lot of contacts...so it wouldn't hurt to touch base with him.

We were at Bar E last weekend and they had three bison on the ranch.

I found this place but they are not booking any bison hunts at this time, but they might be when I'm planning on going which is next Feb. or Mar.
