Introduction - New bowhunter

Hey folks, thought it would appropriate for a quick intro since I'm a newbie to bow hunting and this site.

Name is Arnold and live in Frisco, TX...originally from Corpus Christi. Systems Engineer by day and a photographer every chance I get.

Thanks to a good buddy I got some tips and info and purchased my first bow Wed night. Got it sighted in and doing some target practice...getting ready to get in the field for hopefully my first bow kill.

Nice to meet everyone and hope to learn tons from all the experienced bow hunters.

Thanks for the kind welcome guys. Me and my 8yr old son are headed to the new archery range in Plano so I can get some more shooting in and get ready for my first hunt. Will be hunting public and a couple of private places. I can tell I'm going to love bowhunting no question. My buddy for years has tried to convince me to get a bow; however with no real places to hunt I was hesitant. Oh well, it was time to jump off into the deep end:) Looking to learn and then pass it on to my two boys; getting them their bows next year:)

KUDOS on your plan to involve your boys! They are our future. LSBA is very proactive about youth involvement and you will see some great opportunities for them on this forum.....shoots, hunts etc. all geared for youth involvement. Great stuff!
