Anyone using a DoubleBull Popup?
This blind has two big zippers on the back door. Is there a trick to entering the blind quietly? It just seems that they make a lot of noise early in the morn. Anyone just covering rear door opening wtih black cloth and leabing door open?

I have hunted in my DB matrix 360 four years now and I have never had an issue with the zipper spooking off deer. I usually just zip it up slowly. In my opinion, I would think hanging a cloth will defeat the purpose of controlling scent and may actually spook the deer during windy situations if the cloth starts flapping.

put grafite powder on it.

Leave one window open and just jump through it.:D:D:D:D:D:D

Mine's not a DoubleBull, but it has zippers and I was worried about the same thing. Then the second day this year I had deer in front of me within 5 minutes and that's saying a lot because East TX deer are a lot spookier than other places. Just zip it very slow and it doesn't make a lot of noise.

Thanks for the replys...I should have some graphite leftover from the kids Boy Scout Pinewood Derby cars and I will begin practicing the 'through the window method this week. How do I refrain from yelling 'Yeeeee Haaaa' when doing this method? Practice, I guess.
Seriously, thanks....I will simply go slower on the zipper and make less noise. |
Never had a problem with zipper noise either!!

Yeeeee Haaaa Works just as good as the feeder going off.:p:D:D

I think you should be able to use a string, run it thru the eye hole on the zippers(if yours has them, mine does) and then tie that one end off. Run the other end to the eyelet on the outside of the hub and tie it off. It's quiet to remove and get in that way. Hope that makes sense and works for ya.

I always climb through the window.
