Well I guess its time to follow up on Tyler and me. Click on the link for Part I http://www.lonestarbowhunter.com/for...ead.php?t=2366 .
I has been just over a year since I wrote Part I Tyler and I have gone hunting on the Hill (our place in Normangee). Tyler lives for the Hill it has become his happy place a place for fun and to get away from his everyday life and be a little boy, a life that most cannot under stand including me. His teachers all know about me and that I take him to the Hill and say that he lights up when they ask about me. I have taken him hunting this past year 5 or 6 times, the first few trips where un productive but finally one day in December a yearling doe came out around 7:30am and bam. She ran like her butt was a fire. Well we waited then went and looked for the blood trail and did not have any luck. So we went back to camp for help My good friend Vernon was there and went back with us to look for her. Well luck was on our side he found her about 250yds away next to the creek. Man Tyler was beaming I smeared blood on his face to mark his first kill. Man was he proud he did not want to wash his face. When we got back to camp I went to get my knives and Tyler stayed with the truck and the deer, our buddy Glen came and asked Tyler if we got anything and Tyler Said: "Yeah I shot this one (see picture with bow.)" Glen laughed. He has got to see lots of deer and some pigs. We just started taking his little brother Caleb and the Hill has started changing his life as well. We all three went to the Hill about 2 weeks ago and setup stands on our new place and filled feeders the both had a ball.
My wife and I now have both of the boy's for awhile the are doing great and glad to be loved and cared for. They are now enjoying being little boys and not having to deal with the problems they had before. They are both looking forward to deer season. We are working very hard to make sure they get the life they deserve. I would like to thank my buddy John Paul aka Coog Fan and his Great Wife Tammy for all there help with the boy's I couldn't do this with out them and most of all my wife she's the best it's tuff taking care of kids at our age when you both are self employed.

Till next time.

Great story, I know my little girl Hunter loves going to the deer lease as well as the pig lease. We had a daughter/daddy days at the deer lease a couple weeks ago, and had a great time. Bob
