ted nugent sad sad sad !

last night 11-11,on the outdoor channel ted nugent shot 2 big hogs at his michigan farm, the first was a boar the second came in with a bunch of coke bottle piglets.he shot her as well, and commenced to tell us he had shot 2 big boars even when he found her he never showed her belly and continued to refer to her as a { he } and a boar i think he should have not aired the program or just admitted he shot a sow.that would have been fine he should not lie and insult folks intelligence in that manner i was a big fan until last night.his stock with me fell alot.

LostHawg 11-12-2008 11:02 AM

Didn't see it.

Interesting. I wonder if you can catch the epiosode on MyOutdoorTv.com or not.

I honestly think a man of Ted's stature wouldn't need to lie.

this was what took me aback i saw it during the day and called my buddy so he could watch the 6:30 central time and he called me going nuts as well.

BearOmni 11-12-2008 06:05 PM

I didnt see it, but I know a lot of people call wild pigs "wild boars" no matter the sex. Maybe he was just using a common term?

nagaranch 11-12-2008 06:13 PM

yeah i saw it. it was pretty cheese. he wouldn't show anything but the head on her at the end.

trollx4 11-12-2008 06:30 PM

I saw the show and you could clearly see her teets and the shoats trailing behind her. He continued to call it a boar and when it came time to show the sow they only showed her head. The first one shot was a boar and they showed the entire body.

White Falcon 11-12-2008 08:11 PM

On the second hog he said it was a heart shot and it only ran a little and it was dead. But how come the pictures they showed the arrow kept moving in a breathing motion???

X2.

I didn't see it, I don't watch much outdoors TV. I bet he wasn't trying to refer to the sex of the animal...just tryin' to make it sound sexier for TV. :D

I see no harm in a little creative license as long as it wasn't a wet sow.

LostHawg 11-13-2008 07:31 AM

I don't even have a problem with him shooting a wet sow. Maybe I'm wrong in my thinking, but hogs are not native wildlife. They're encroachers. Well, that's my viewpoint anyway. Meat's meat.

Maybe you could email him and call him on it? I'm sure he'd enjoy the debate. :D

nothinbutwelves 11-13-2008 08:19 AM

she was a wet sow and i had a hunting buddy shoot one a few years ago and the babies were trying to nurse while we were dragging her off.this was the second worse i have felt in my hunting tenyer i couldnt do it myself.i do shoot sows however i just make darn sure there are no piglets.and i have sent an email to nugent.no response yet.

Bweger 11-13-2008 08:33 AM

Personally I dont care if he calls it a boar or sow. As far as shooting a sow with pigs goes. If those babies are walkin and gruntin they are gonna survive and multiply. Uncle Ted is gonna be Uncle Ted and I am pretty sure you will get a response from him but you aint gonna change him.

traildust 11-13-2008 08:39 AM

I've seen him do that before...I think he just uses a general term for hogs....Uncle Ted dont hold back any punches

nothinbutwelves 11-13-2008 08:48 AM

i am not trying nor do i even want to change him i believe in bowhunting ethics and truth,i was just very surprised at his actions and covering it up.i was a huge nuge fan now not so much.

JavelinaRuss 11-13-2008 10:35 AM

Who'd want to shoot a wet sow anyway? The best tasting ones are the pregant ones anyhow:D:D:D:eat::eat:
