New Brunswick Spring/Fall Black Bear Opportunity

I wanted to post a quick note telling everyone about Jimmy Dort and his Guide Service. Jimmy has been a New Brunswick guide for several years and is now working on his own. He specializes in Black bear hunting as well as Moose and Whitetail.

Hunts take place on and around Camp Gagetown, New Brunswick, a Canadian Military training facility. Hunts are 6 days long, starting on Monday, ending Saturday. The bear population in this part of New Brunswick has been steadily increasing to the point that Jim is offering a 50% refund to any bear hunter who does not have an opportunity to harvest a black bear during their hunt.

In case you're wondering about size, Camp Gagetown is one of those GINORMOUS installations, it's large enough to allow artillery pieces and surface to surface missiles to be fired safely.

(NOTE: Millie and I have hunted Camp Gagetown and the surrounding area three times and can’t see any hunter getting a refund – the only time we’ve NOT taken a bear has been because we decided not to shoot .)

Price is: $1100 (US) per hunter – license fees are extra (cost $150 US). NB requires proof of completing IBEP. For more information call Jim at: 506-208-0457 or email him at: bearwildlifeadventure@yahoo.ca

Jim will provide references on request. LSBA members can email Millie or I if they have questions.

Rick
