Traditional newbie quiver question

Do most of you guys use the quiver attached to your recurve/longbow or do you use back or hip quivers? Can you recommend a good model or type?

I use a back quiver!! If you choose a quiver on your bow make sure to practice with it on the bow. Check out http://www.3riversarchery.com/!!

I use a back quiver and a hip quiver. I own a bow quiver, but never use it.

I use a quiver on my bow. For me, it's easier to crawl thru and duck under brush. I get all tangled up if I wear back or hip quivers. This is the one I have (http://www.3riversarchery.com/product.asp?i=6820)

...I found mine on ebay.

You must have been one of the ones that beat me out on my bid. Been trying to get one for almost nothing, but don't think that is going to happen.

Not unless it was a couple years ago. I'm watching for back packs now. Looking for a Badlands 4500 or Ox .... for cheap.

I've used all three types over the years. It depends on what type of hunting I'm doing as to which I pick. I generally go with the bow quiver in a treestand and a back or hip in a blind or still hunting.

I never liked bow quivers until I found the mini boas from Thunderhorn ( Mark Horne, of Horne Archery in Boyd Texas sells them). I use the 3 arrow model and it adds very little weight and actually helps quieten the bow down. I also like the mini Cat Quiver, it is very manuverable to get through thick brush with, you just have to get the hang of it.

I use a strap-on Great Northern and/or a back quiver I made.

Each have their pluses and minuses...
