Broad head of choice

Which head will you be shooting through Deer this year? I'm struggling between 1-9/16 .. 2 blade Zephyr's and 1-1/2" 3 blade Snuffer's:fencing:

RSATT 08-27-2007 09:22 PM

I'm going with the Shuttle T Locks this year. They spin good and fly good......I don't know why I change broadheads so often....but I do.:)

Hey Ronnie for you and all the other guys that like to switch every year, I'll be happy to take all your new 125 Gr Thunderheads off your hands at say $2 each. LOL

jake-1024 08-27-2007 10:17 PM

Still sticking with the 4 blade magnus stingers. I've liked these heads for a long time now. I also take some Rocket Sidewinders. Both in 100 grains.

Bill M 08-27-2007 10:28 PM

I am going to be shooting the Montec G5s 125 gr. for the 4th year in a row. I am still using my originals and have not bought any of the new, sharper one. I can still get the originals sharp.

I do carry 1 Slick Trick and 1 Shuttle T Lock. I will use them on hogs that may show up to test them.

125 Slick Tricks Magnums!

LostHawg 08-28-2007 06:17 AM

Ribtek 130Ws.

I've also got some 160 Ace Standards I'm wanting to "wet". Depends on how many critters walk in front of me that don't have enough breathing orifices. ;)

txhunter 08-28-2007 07:46 AM

I am still sticking to Rage 2-blade. They have been nothing but sweet to me. I will continue to use them until they "do me wrong"....

hillcountryhunter 08-28-2007 08:11 AM

I will be using the Rage two blade as well. They fly awesome and hopefully that big ol' 2" cutting diameter will put them down quick.

2Racks 08-28-2007 08:52 AM

After seeing all the holes that the big man put threw all his animals I am switching to the 2 blade RAGE!!!

LostHawg 08-28-2007 09:32 AM

I like glue on heads. You can't cross thread those. ;)

Shawn D 08-28-2007 04:00 PM

I will be using the Wac'em Triton 100 grain again this year.

RSATT 08-28-2007 05:19 PM

I would be using the 2 blade Rage, but I am concerned about what it will do on the shoot-thru mesh.

What do ya'll think?

Chunky 08-28-2007 06:09 PM

I am going to use the Magnus Stingers, they seem to hold a good edge and keep it. Good results on my oryx this summer.

cabhunter 08-28-2007 09:20 PM

220 muzzy phantoms,
You just can't compare a fifty cal to a .22
Same with these heads

Bullrdr82 08-28-2007 09:23 PM

Same thing I have been using since I started bow hunting.....

Thunderhead 100

wassaw 08-28-2007 09:51 PM

past ten years with thunderhead 100's, a set of 3 rocky Titaniums(1 left, 2 confirmed kills but with a pass through skip off a rock into S.Texas bite you everywhere bushes).

This year I have dived into 6 Landsharks and very much like how they tune and fly. we will see about the blood trails.<< hopefully, thick, deep and short! ;)

Tomme>> I have 6 or 8, 11 year old TH125's and 3 .>>---> 4 blade Satellite 125's :D
