Team Colorado vs Team Nebraska

Well I hope Mark (chunky) gets to go so this could be a fair fight.:muscle: I suggest Dinner payed for by the losers! How can we do this? Let's say most animals harvested per hunter! Any other Ideas?

Ronny 09-17-2008 05:36 PM

I'm not sure we have enough money to feed that bunch.:p:p:p

Chunky 09-17-2008 06:13 PM

How about weight of the animals taken or total inches of antler (of course we will have to keep Buff from shooting the first cow that comes by)...LOL.

Both teams are packed with talent, I think the key to the game will be turnovers. Any team without Buff is automaticly outnumbered from the start, even with out me. Game ON!

biggen 09-17-2008 07:04 PM

How about weight of animals taken minus weight of hunters!:cheese:

Ronny 09-17-2008 07:39 PM

How about antler points.:D:fencing: I don't think we have a chance but we might. :devil:Game on LARGE boys:tongue:

NDNRoger 09-17-2008 08:06 PM

I see you guys are all talk and no show. If it were me I woud at least post up what we had to shoot for. What did you get in Nebraska, 3 little deer? You might want to reconsider the wager. Like Ronnie said, you don't have enuff $$$ to feed us! Not even that economic stimulus check could cover!

By the time we are finished no one will even remember you went to kill prairie dogs in Nebraska.

biggen 09-18-2008 09:12 AM

Guess it is only fair to let everybody know the teams.

Team Nebraska : Ronnie Strickland (rns), Tomme Actkinson (Tomme), Brad Adams (biggen) and Dennis Meckel (bowhuntingobsession).

Team Colorado : Marty Thomas (Buff), Mark Johnson (Chunky), Roger Rieken (NDNRoger).

If I have left somebody off the Team Colorado let me know!

Chunky 09-18-2008 01:48 PM

We have more members than that, we have Buff Junior, and Bolle (forgive me if I spelled it wrong)...I thought there was going to be six in camp, but I could be wrong.

I say we post up pics when we get back and just run a pole and see who the unbiased members say had the best hunt.

Ronny 09-18-2008 06:04 PM

NDNRoger 09-18-2008 06:50 PM

Ronny 09-18-2008 07:25 PM

I'll look good in that truck when we win and ya'll take us out to dinner:D:D:D:D:D

biggen 09-19-2008 06:09 AM

That's ok rns, Buff is the only one that can shoot that stick-bow. NdNroger you going to the dark side on this hunt because if you do you might get :banned:? Of course they do need that BIG elk kill zone! Hope you guys been running up and down those steps:hot:!! I will think about you as I sit nice and quite in my comfortable treestand.:freak:

now thats funny I don't care what team your on

Chunky 09-19-2008 09:48 AM

rns...is going to look good in that truck???? Now you know I love you like a brother and you have mad skills as a hunter.....BUT, the only way you look good is standing in that crowd you choose to hunt with.

which brings me to another point. Did Brad really say he would be sitting quietly? The only time Brad is quiet is when Tomme won't let him get a word in edgewise.

But this isn't really about bad behavior is it? I have been on umpteen elk hunts with out shooting at one...I AM DUE! On the other hand Tomme got a fantastic buck last year...and I am not saying it was a fluke....but what are the odds of two in a row?

I am going to have to find some D-cells and pack by flashlight this weekend. :)

You are correct about that...however, it will be in route to an expensive steak house that you will be picking up the tab. :D

I will be shooting with wheels....and I don't care what anyone thinks! :p

Ronny 09-19-2008 01:20 PM

I wish ya'll the best of luck on your elk hunt really I do:D:D:D:D

BUFF 09-19-2008 01:30 PM

Thanks Ronnie! We know you do. Its been fun bantering back and forth about it though!

TradAg02 09-19-2008 03:49 PM

Between Colorado and Nebraska I hope there are enough stories to fill the magazine for several issues.

Good luck to all of you.

My money is on the Colorado bunch.

NDNRoger 09-19-2008 05:14 PM

There ought to be huh! I will be taking my laptop and hope to make this the LSBA's first ever Live Hunt!

Ronny 09-19-2008 05:33 PM

And it ain't over til its over:spank::spank::spank::spank:

biggen 09-20-2008 09:25 AM

Wait isn't Buff Jr. and Chunky the same person:think:! I do like Mark's idea of letting the public decide. Trad Ag we shall see , we shall see!!

Bweger 09-21-2008 12:16 PM

I will be in Colorado with Buff and the gang. I am on my way to Bass pro to pick up a few last minute items before I head for Colorado tomorrow evening. I will have lots of pictures and video from this hunt to post when I get back.

Chunky 09-21-2008 02:37 PM

I wish all a very successful and fun hunt.

Because I don't measure the hunt by the animals taken alone, I also suggest that we get some points for....

Best pics of the experience (non-trophy shots)
trophy pics
write up's of the hunt
biggest goof
one liner

you know stuff like that. What do you think?

tinman 09-21-2008 06:12 PM

Break a leg guys!...no, seriously...I'm so jealous that I hope you all fall off a mountain and break a leg!:ouch:

Good luck, everyone. Looking forward to the stories.

I agree about what makes a hunt!

Best pic --- if we don't take any pics of the hunting parties
trophy pics - hopefully but not a necessity
write up's on the hunt --(whew,we have Tomme)
biggest goof - man I already won that one, look who I'm hunting with
one liner -- there ain't enough space in the magazine

Bweger 09-23-2008 07:54 AM

I am in Albuquerque New Mexico this morning and will be headed on up to Colorado in a little while.

BUFF 09-23-2008 08:07 AM

I'm in Montrose CO this morning. pacing back and forth..... y"all come on

Tomme 09-23-2008 04:48 PM

Just got back from my Colorado Elk hunt at Fred Eichler's. I thought we had settled the supremacy issue last year when (as Buff called us) "Team Old" on the Nebraska hunt, smoked "Team Moose".

I suppose I get to count anything I got in Colorado on this bet. Boy are those steaks going to taste good!

biggen 10-13-2008 08:57 AM

See Ronny, Tinman is a prophet. He just didn't know is was slipping off the bathroom scale :) and not a cliff! The time is getting close! Hope to have alot of pics of the fun!!

NDNRoger 10-13-2008 09:31 AM

Good luck! Hope you fair better than one elk and one grouse.

biggen 10-27-2008 06:28 PM

I like my steak rare!! Tomme and Ronnys and Dennis is Med rare!! LOL

biggen 10-14-2009 09:53 AM

You know we never collected on this!!!

Ronny 10-14-2009 10:13 AM

As long as we remind them they still owe us.
