Don't worry, if the women of Alabama & Georgia didn't break it this past weekend, there is no way on earth that your going to break it. If your interested in seeing what I mean, I'll have to send you a link privately. I'd hate for those under the age of 30 to see what I had to film....I mean go through for the last 2 weeks :)

God I love Texas :)

I can't speak for those 'Bama women but when I was stationed in Ga there were quite a few pretty women folk there. Them Georgia peaches are sweet!!! :D :D :D

Bullrdr82 & Chunky

Will there be anyone else who will be bowfishing?

Right now I have Bullrdr82, Chunky, and Melissa & Alexis (my 2 women want to try it).

Any other takers?

Tomme 07-08-2007 04:13 PM

I think that Brian is planning on it. Also my son Jonathan will probably give it a try. Depending on what I have to work on (and my level of sobriety) I might give it a try too.

How many boats do we have available. Anyone brave enought to ride with Jon can go out in my Blue Wave. Just make sure you've signed the liability release first. He drives like his mother. :P :P :P

There was a question about camping. Do you mean RV or pop up type camping or tent? I've never tried either place, but there's Goose Island state Park and I think I know of a tent campground here in Rockport. Let me know if you still need me to check.

On the fish, I've got several bags I've been saving. If too many people show up and we don't catch enough, H.E.B. is right down the road.

Free Camping!

You can camp in my backyard for FREE!!

Be advised though, I live about 45 miles or so from where the beach bash is taking place!

I'm confirming a party of 9 for myself.

3 of use are LSBA members, and I'm bringing a fella from Houston to join LSBA also.

Coach you're quick on the posts. Thanks for the pictures too as I left my camera at home.

Fishing was lousy due to the wind and all the rains we'd had in July. This area has recorded over 13" so far this month which is an all time record for July. Water was murky and pretty windy for fishing. My son Jon and new LSBA member Matt did harvest some specks and a few gafftop which went into the common (or make that uncommonly good) fish fry.

Mark Johnson (Chunky) and I did take my boat out in Salt Lake (which is a tributary of Copano Bay in an effort to arrow a mullet or two, but water was so cloudy that we never stood a chance. We gave it up in favor of the chopped beef bar-b-q special at the beach.

The fish fry on the beach was a lot of fun. I heard a few stories I'd never heard before and got to meet the better half for some of uglier EC members. All told we had 32 people show up despite the weather and they gobbled the fish, fries and slaw about as fast as Steve, Brandon and Clint could cook it. We also picked up two new (old) members and will probably get a third.

Lots of work, but lots of fun as well.

Chunky 07-15-2007 03:16 PM

bowfishing was impossible, but the company was good. Thanks to those who did the work to make it happen. I did not do my share and will try to make up at the next event.

Chunky you provided the humor, that was enough for me!! Well Done!

biggen 07-16-2007 08:43 PM

ditto what Chunky said! It was a good turn out and we signed up two new members!! The fish was outstanding, thanks Steve, Clint and Brandon for all the hard work!!

Bullrdr82 07-16-2007 09:30 PM

I can not speak for Clint and Steve, but there are no needs for thanks for me.... it was my pleasure.

I had a great time, good to see everyone.

Is Coach the only one that took any pictures of this event?

I finally got a chance to get on the puter for a bit.

I had a great time and other than biggun giving me a hard time the cooking was no problem. I enjoyed it and the company was great. Besides, the cooks are always the most popular folks at a fish fry! Even if the natives were restless!

Thanks for posting the pics Coach it was good meeting you and your family. The same is true of everyone that was able to make it.
