Keep the emails going. I still haven't been able to talk to a live body at AA, but will keep trying. If we get enough emails in, that the bean counters start to put a number to lost customers as opposed to the $80 surcharge, I think we will get a change in policy. As with most big businesses, the accountants carry the most power.

Doc, I've seen info that says if you fly Continental or Delta you'll be OK. AA and maybe United seem the only villians here.

I did get a reply back at least saying that they'd gotten my email. So the more that's sent the better the chance that the policy will change.

Yep greed seems to sum it up pretty well.

I think that once word gets out that they are charging an extra $80 (was that each way on a round trip ticket or jus one charge?) they may find that they have a bunch of cacellations or that they are losing business. After all, $80 sure makes it worthwhile to check out other carriers.

Proforce, this needs to be brought up at the next EC meeting (or before) and maybe we could get the Pres to send an official on LSBA letterhead. I'd say the sooner the better. There are probably bowhunters heading to Colorado, Wyoming, Canada, etc., even as we speak.

e-mailed also, I was exec platinum last year may not make gold this year, they keep changing policy against the average person. I am flying Delta and have 60,000 miles in the last 3 months, lot of travel, lot of money. AA will not get any. They are arogant, and they do not like hunters at the headquaters. Fly someone else, Delta can use our business!

One of the guys on TBH got a response from AA saying they were going to drop this "bowhunter tax".
