Thanks again guys, I can get a Canon ZR950 that has a 48X opticial zoom, SC card, and mini DV tape for $250. I think I will go with this one unless someone has heard some bad things about it. Sounds like the new cameras will be coming out this spring, but looks like more DVD and hard memory. Bob

I have used a camera with the night shot and after about 4 feet it will not work. There is not enouth IR light produced for that range, but up cose it is just fine.
