I am teaching a combined IBEP Student and Instructor Course on May 22 and 23 in Friendswood, Texas. If you truly want to give back to bowhunting this is the fastest way to become certified as an IBEP Instructor.

Way to go JJ!
I hope you get a huge class.
Double J,
Tell me more about this IBEP Course. I am only semi familiar with this course. Is the course different to become an instructor? What is the content? I am an experienced bowhunter, but I am always looking for ways to improve or intrest others in the sport.
:D

Okie, the student course teaches the fundamentals of bowhunting with an emphasis on ethics, responsibility, shot placement, etc. The instructor course teaches you HOW to teach the student course, how to organize a class, and how to complete all of the paperwork. The combined course intertwines the two. If you are interested in attending let me know. I have room for 10 more. The cost is $10 unless you have already had the student course then there is no cost.

Double,
thanks for the info. does this class serve to meet the hunter education requirement? I would like to become an instructor and think I can work out the days in question. I will get back to you in a few days.

This class meets the requirement for Bowhunter Education that is required in 14 states, 3 Canadian Provinces, and several public/private hunting areas. It does not meet the requirements for the General Hunter Ed class. In Texas Hunter Ed is required, Bowhunter Ed is optional. Friendswood is just south of Houston off of I-45.
