Hey, Dena, we had an archery club that disbanded and our by-laws stated if we had any leftover money it would be sent to LSBA. I've got the leftovers and just need to know where to send it and make it out to. LSBA's lucky day.

That's sad to hear, what Club was it?

Glad to hear about the donation (and I'm sure that Dena will be along to help you get it to the right place) but sorry to read that another Club is folding...with gas at $3 a gallon, this has been a tough season on many 3D/archery clubs.

I have the same sentiment as Joey on this. We appreciate and thank you for the donation to the organization, but it's sad to hear of the demise of an archery club. We lost ours here in 97 and a new one that started up in 2002 only lasted 2 years. Really hard to keep clubs going these days.

Donations should be payable to Lone Star Bowhunter's Association.

Mail to: Lone Star Bownhunter's Association
117 Hwy 332 W Suite J #101
Lake Jackson, TX 77566

Dena will get it processed from there. Thanks again.

Thanks, y'all. This was a club in Liberty, Texas (Lone Wolf Bowhunters) that folded back in the late 90s and the money has been sitting in the bank that long. Just myself and one other member were aware the money was there and you don't know how tempting it was to take the money and make a hunt with it :D but that's not what we agreed to do. I've made a money order out and will send it today.

We had a great club with a nice 3-D course but the demise was when our landowner decided to sell the property and lost our course we had worked so hard on.

I am proud to see the steps LSBA has taken in these last few years and know the money will be well spent. Rick Thompson. Liberty, Texas.

Ricky, I apologize for the delay in responding. I was away from the computer for a couple of days.

I hate to hear the news about the club! LSBA also greatly appreciates the donation. If you will send it to the address that Roger provided, I will get it deposited into our account.

Thanks again for the donation!

Boy that is rough. That would be the equivalent to loosing your deer lease do to a sell out. Thanks for being a stand up guy.

I worked in Liberty after hurricane Rita blew through. That was a messed up deal. After Liberty we went to Jasper.

We shoulda named it something else, huh? (Lone Wolf?) Had a great time the two years we had shoots and meetings. Huge following out here in the pine trees between Houston and Beaumont.

It's good to know the money will be well spent.
