I have got to find the time to go out and do some bowfishing in the next few weeks.

I am going to the Beach Party and intend on getting a big mullet, and I am going with Bob and Dena later and don't want to look any goofier than I already do!

I have a boat...but it has not seen the water in over a year, and I have a canoe. I may just take that out, so I don't spend what little time I have working on the boat. Of course that means time paddleing...hum...well, I will keep you posted. Maybe some of us can get together sometime in the South East Texas area.

What kinda bow set up do you plan on using?

Buff,

I have a 65 lb Quinn recurve set up with a bottle retriever. I have taken it out a couple of times in the last year or two...but it has been awhile. Shooting fish is something you have to train your eye for.

I am sure you could make a black widow work.

If I'm able to make the Beach party, I hope to be picking up my new Black Widow (an old Wilson Brothers, Skeleton bow with my great-Aunt's writing on it). I think it's drilled for a stabilizer...Tomme?

I've also got an old fishing rig with a Zebco on it. I'm make a fool of myself on Tomme's dock all night...again.

I use a traditional gadget adapter with a zebco 808 reel. Muzzy fish head. A good line for the spin caster is the 200 # test fastflight string.

You just have to make sure the reel is properly alligned or the string can hang up on the handle.

That 808 gets heavy after a while though. ;)
