The Forum has a new look. This was to accomodate the change to allow Visual Confirmation of new account registration. Any new accounts will automatically be opened up with this feature.

Nice upgrade. Just be prepared to delete a lot of spammers. There are some people already registering with bogus names and check out the web addresses they are using.

Temporarily disabled the visual confirmation due to spammers. Will reactivate tonight

Now that's funny right there!  A little steak seasoning and fry it up. Yumm. Scraps off the cutting room floor never tasted so good.

Turned Visual Confirmation on again with some modifications. Will have to monitor closely, but hopefully we can keep it turned on.

This looks great! The brown and green had gotten old and tired.
This is much easier on the eyes!
I know Tomme will be able to see his screen now! :P

Well, the brown and green wasn't as bright. I prefer a dull color. ;)

Any idea when we're going to get our spammer problem fixed? I find it very offensive to open a thread to find it about smut. I want to read about bowhunting and bowhunting related stuff only. :(

Sorry fellas, I just can't seem to quit complaining these days.

Hi Tracy!
I can't help with the spam issue. Actually I can't help about any issues.
I don't think the brown and green was so much the issue as it was the contrast or lack there of, between the words and the background.
So when are you submitting a story for the mag?

I sent one to Joey here awhile back. Don't know if it was usable though. Kinda generic.
I've got the story all laid out for my ABC trip back in December too, but I don't like the way I've written it and don't know where to go with it. :( I look at it and it just doesn't appeal to me the way I'd want it published.
I'm a terrible writer to the educated and sofis, soph, sup, high-falootin.
I like fishing with worms and spittin tobaccer, not strolling along the mandolay and sipping cappuchino. Maybe I'll send it to BUFF to proof read and give me some input. I can do fine with grammar, however I do terrible with substance.

I will be happy to assist you and give you pointers if you like.

But....given your response just now, you don't need much help. I mean you just painted me a picture with words. Go with that!

I'll try to start working on something this evening.
Can I tell a story and not a hunt recap? Semi-fictional?

Would be nice is getting rid of spammers was easy. The unfortunate side of opening up the forum to anyone to register without having to have administration open up is that spammers get around it. We are banning emails, ipaddresses and the such as they get on and are getting about 4-6 per day register. With time it will get less, but it is one of the hazards of going this way. We haven't had many posts, just registrations and are checking several times a day.

Did you read my story in the last issue? Not a bowhunting story and would be hard pressed to classify it as a hunting story at all. Write somthing up and send it to Joey. You never know....
