Thanks for passing this along. What does it take to get the deer to start eating it? Bob

There are some 2X4s that extend off the legs, and it's heavy enough to not blow over

I hunt in the hill country near leakey texas and my whitetail tear it up with in 6 hours.

But they are use to eating it since we have been throwing it out for years.

Typically I'd say that it will take them a couple of days to get use to it, if they haven't seen it before, but after that they will hit it right away.

Having a stationary feeder like this really helps.

Cool feeder, will have to try that. We have been feeding our deer in Mills county alfalfa and they love it.

We put out 4 cotton seed feeders this year, but the deer have not taken to it yet. The cows found one of mine and spent 3 days there until they cleaned it out. Will be putting a wire fence around it now. Once the cotton seed is gone, might have to put a bale of alfalfa in it.
